Using browser or external phone for calls

Enchant supports a user joining a call either from the browser or from an external phone. In both cases, the call is controlled from the browser.

Joining a call via browser

When you click the Join button or Call button, Enchant will connect your browser to the call. This means the browser's microphone and speaker will be used for the call.

A headset that provides both an ear peace and microphone is preferred for this approach.

Note: The browser will prompt you to allow access to the microphone.

Joining a call via external number

When you click the Join button or Call button, Enchant will dial out to your phone number (as configured in the user profile). You'll need to dial the number 1 to join to the call.

When using an external phone to make or receive a phone call, your personal phone number is not visible to the customer. They just see the phone number that is associated with the call channel.

Setting your call joining preference

User preferences can be accessed from the user drop down on the top right corner of the desktop interface.
