How to integrate an external contact form with Enchant

The primary way to connect your website contact form with Enchant is to have the form send an email to your inbox address that's managed by Enchant.

The email should be structured as follows:

• From: "Customer Name" <inbox@address.com>
  

• To: <inbox@address.com>
  

• Reply-To: customer@address.com
  

Why is the email "From" our inbox address?

If you send an email "From" the customer email address, then you're unintentionally impersonating that sender. Your email would also be unauthenticated (i.e. not authorized to send by the customer's email domain) which could trigger spam filters in any intermediate email systems.

What if we don't have the customer name?

You can exclude the customer name if you don't have it. Enchant will capture the customer's name on a future email coming directly from the customer.
